West Chicago Public Library hosts a presentation from the Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speakers Bureau, “A Brief History of the Reintroduction of the Native Americans into Illinois,” by Gerald Savage of theHo Chunk Nation. Chief White Winnebago discusses the culture and history of the HoChunk Nation.

The total solar eclipse Monday, April 8, 2024, will be the last one visible from Illinois until 2044. It is expected this total solar eclipse will darken the sky above the West Chicago Public Library for a few minutes in the middle of the day. The library has the special Glasses and has additional activities planned for the day.
