With the Big Boy locomotive steam engine being in West Chicago, West Chicago Elementary School District 33 has adjusted the final days of the 2025-26 school year to help ensure students and staff can safely travel to and from school. Changes include Friday, May 29, is now a regular student attendance day, Tuesday, June 2, will be a half-day for K-7 students, Wednesday, June 3, will be a non-attendance day for students and Thursday, June 4, will remain the final attendance day with adjusted afternoon half-day schedules. https://www.facebook.com/wegoD33/
