The American Horticultural Society honored the late Jim Nau, posthumously, as the recipient of the Liberty Hyde Bailey Award. He was a distinguished figure in the horticultural field, serving as the greenhouse, gardens, and trials manager at Ball Horticultural Company for 37 years.

West Chicago Community High School did quite well at the Illinois High School Association State finals. Jayden Huesca, a senior, placed fifth in Girl’s State Wrestling. Brady Johnson, a senior, is the 100 Freestyle and Backstroke State Champion.
